Cloud Wine cottage is centrally located in the Finger Lakes Wine Trail on the Cayuga Wine Trail, with Seneca Lake Wine Trail a short drive away. Enjoy swimming, boating and fishing on Cayuga Lake with access available via the cottage property and only a short hike away. Deans Cove boat launch is a short five minute drive. Taughannock Falls State Park is to the South and Seneca State Park to the North and both offer hiking trails, beach swimming and boat launch.

Numerous golf courses in the are and miles of bicycle paths at nearby Sampson State Park. Observe white deer at the Seneca Army Depot, which supports the largest herd of white deer in the work behind 24 miles of protected fencing. Enjoy winter skiing at several area ski resorts like Bristol Mountain and Greek Peak.

Area attractions with a 1-hour drive include Watkins Glen gorge and international raceway, Cayuga Lake boat cruises, Museum of the Earth, Waterloo Premium Outlet Mall and del Lago Resort & Casino.
